This week for our wine tasting my Maverick rep Luke will be joining us to pour four French wines. He will be pouring two wines from southern France along with two wines from Savoie made from weird grapes. Stop in to find your favorite between 4-7pm.

Après Wines
Monduese
Reg. $24.99 15% Off $21.24
We go back to Savoie for this decadent but refreshing red wine made from Monduese. Jean-Charles Girard-Madoux grew up in Chignin and after studying oenology in Beaune he repurchased his family’s old estate in 2006 and today the estate is 6.5 hectares planted to indigenous varietals like Monduese. Monduese drinks kind of like Grenache or Gamay and plays very well with food.
Château Maris
Minervois La Touge 2019
Reg. $28.99 Sale $18.99
La Touge is a blend of 70% Syrah and 30% Grenache that doesn’t seem to see any oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. The wine is reaching a more savory, bloody style where Syrah is taking the lead. Dark plum, savory herbs, cassis and crushed violets balance the untamed character of the Syrah.
