This week for our wine tasting we have our Old World Wine Co rep Mike pouring four French wines. He will be pouring one of my favorite sparkling wines, a decadent Viognier, a Gamay/Pinot Noir blend from Burgundy and one of my new favorite Southern French blends! Stop in and find your favorite!

Cheers,

Domaine Lelievre Leucquois Sparkling

Reg. $25.99 15% Off $22.09

Domaine Lelievre is located in the Cotes du Toul, about equal distance between Alsace and Champagne. The wines are all made organically and the sparkling wine is Gamay and is one of my favorites on my shelf!

Domaine de Montfaucon Viognier

Reg. $21.99 15% Off $18.69

This producer is know for their big Rhone reds but their Viognier is a textbook example. White flowers, orange rind, tangerine and apricot make this seductively aromatic.

Domaine Armand Heitz Folie Sauvage

Reg. $27.99 On Sale $21.99

While not labeled as a Passetoutgrain the Folie Sauvage is a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay that comes from their vines in Burgundy and Beaujolais. The wine is made using 100% whole cluster so it is lively and easy to drink with notes of bright cherry, tomato leaf, dried herbs and raspberry. This is the best of both worlds; the best of Beaujolais joined with the beauty of Burgundy.

Domaine Jean Royer Le Petit Roy

Reg. $21.99 15% Off $18.69

I brought in this wine about a month ago and it quickly became my favorite Cotes du Rhone styled red. It is basically declassified Châteauneuf and is a kitchen sink blend of Rhone varietals but the candied cherry of Grenache comes through and since it is oak free it lets the fruit shine.
