Baumard Carte Turquoise NV Cremant de Loire
Made from Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc. Very pale gold color, with a very fine bead. The wine displays green apple, lime and fresh spring flowers in the nose. On the palate the wine shows concentrated lemon and lime flavors with some apple and pear notes. It shows nice acidity and a long finish. This wine sees less than a year on the lees, so it doesn’t display the yeasty/bready aromas that you get from a lot of Champagnes. A nice inexpensive substitute for Champagne.
